Thanks for the reply. Yea same speed today 45-50 I didn't have to stop to make it go away. Just go under 45. It wasn't the crap your pants death wobble I have experienced in an XJ and my old TJ. I will take to the tire shop this week for a balance. The CA bushings are shot and in need of...

    Mild Deathwobble on LJ

Hello Folks, I took the 05 LJ out today and got some mild DW at 45-50 today for the first time. Spent some time with a crowbar on the front suspension to see where I could have issue. Swaybar Links are tight and do not flex under crowbar. No dry rot I can see. Balljoints seem solid no lateral...

    Insurance question

I too have my LJ insured by Haggerty to an agreed value. No real mods to speak of but it's worth more than the book says. IIRC it was $550 year or so and I have it for 1k miles a year.

    TJ Lift and Tire Combos

2" Suspension 0"body and 33x10.50 on 15x8 4" backspaced wheels. I will upgrade to a OME 2.5 at some point.

    33x10.5 tires versus 33x12.5 tires

Correct a 4.5 backspaced wheel has 4.5 inches of wheel below the mounting surface. 3.75 would have more above the mounting surface. Based on the same width wheel.

White grey smoke start up exhaust

I say normal condensation, I looked up weather for Penrith which should be close. In the 40s in a high humidity situation ground was wet any car would look that way.

Questions about 2.5 to 4.0 engine swap

Helped someone do this around 10 years ago. New motor mounts, PCM for 4.0 and harness from 4.0 pretty plug and play. Don't install the distributor off by one tooth like we did and wonder why it didn't run right ;). As a bonus you will have 4.10s and a 4.0. I was the harness guy and had FSM...

    How to cover this up?

Maybe sand it smooth and wrap. I think a flat black painted hood would look good on red.
