What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

Well here's something to chew on I suppose. I kind of figured this would be the case but the passenger side ball joint has some play... Passengers side ball joint. That's probably the main culprit unfortunately. Right? Paired with some half ass balanced tires. Also while looking over all...

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

I know it, I was generalizing the whole situation, I'm really familiar with the XJ side of the jeep world taking on this TJ has taught me some serious patience, but clearly not enough 😅 seemed a lot more forgiving to the variables. Got an appointment this coming Friday for the tires though...

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

I'm really sorry to hear that, I would give everything to have my health any day this jeep included. Hopefully things smooth out for you. I put brand new ones on in February before I installed the 35's I did it when I installed the revolution gear axle shafts as a fail safe against the larger...

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

While I was in the garage last night, I did the pry bar test, to check ball joints, pretty much exclusively ran Spicer since I've owned the jeep. The passenger side does have a slight bit of up and down movement, the drivers side did a bit too but a lot less noticeable and more needed leverage...

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

Bummer that we couldn't expect perfection but I don't really blame them, the short wheel base seems to make everything more difficult 10 fold. I had a set of 31's put on the WJ winter beater by them it, took a while but they comeback excellent. That was the main reason i went back with the...

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

I think it's safe to say if they couldn't balance the front two, the back 3 wont be any better unfortunately. Got an appointment Friday just gonna drop her off early am, let them know ill come get it at the end of the day. 10 hours should be plenty to make sure things are as close to perfection...

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

Jeez boss... we talking women or Jeeps here? 😅 seems like a pretty needy list you've had. I think the sad part about this is that in my heart I know it's probably the tires and I didn't want to believe it because I already started at Discount tire... but only after I literally emptied every...

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

Running fox preformance 2.0's they have probably 10k or so on them maybe. I'll give them a check when I get home though, best to rule everything out the best I can.

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

I run Mammoth model: Boulder -19 offset/ 3.75 backspace. 15x8. 1 piece aluminum their website says. I also ran them with 33's and didn't have nearly as many issues but that's not to say anything is right or wrong just puzzles the ever living hell out of me. When I get home tonight I'll jack...

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

Morning Jerry, This is full blown, change your pants, rip the steering wheel out of your hands type wobble that forces me to completely stop the vehicle. I've had some pretty stead shimmies that I've been able to eliminate from here and there, this is very much speed sensitive and something...

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

I don't recall the last time i replaced them to be honest. It's been over a year - at least if i had to guess.

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

Morning Eveyone, Wouldn't you know the minute I pay the thing off we go down the rabbit hole. I made sure to spend the time and money to get all the quality parts and dial things in, yet it don't seem like I am making any progress here. to date and as of the the last 6 months it has literally...

    Front track bar bracket relocation

Noted and appreciated! Sorry it's been a long week but you're not wrong. It was just beefier than what was on there but eventually once this system is spent I'd like to invest in something that offers a bigger improvement.

    Front track bar bracket relocation

Sorry! I'll have to grab some after work tonight, if it helps any .... the frame side is stock, the pitman arm is stock, the steering set up is the rugged ridge HD, still a y link but beefier and moved that mount down to the tierod as apposed to the center like stock.
