Texas rain storm showed me where my leak was

I already knew I had a leak in the rear after noticing damp carpet after it rained a few weeks ago, but I hadn't fully investigated it until yesterday when an early morning rain storm rolled through and prompted me to take a closer look while I was puttering around in the garage. Basically the...

    2003 Texas Sahara Build

Thanks! Keeping my cart behind my horse is something I haven't always been good at in other life adventures so I'm "trying" to think things through, go slow, and appreciate the build after each little checkbox. Sometimes the big weekend accomplishment is just a little thing like new bump...

    2003 Texas Sahara Build

Thanks! I chose not to mess around with bushing replacements on the control arms (except for the axle bushing on the front) and just bought new ones. I don't recall the price difference but after considering the time and effort required it made sense for me.

    2003 Texas Sahara Build

08/13/2019 Well, I guess my front end is pretty much refreshed now. I spent the last few days knocking this out in the driveway and it drives so much better and no wobble on the highway either. I still have a fair amount of things to tidy up however like my ball joints and all my control...

JMT's idea: list one mod you regret

I assume when it was down it made it a bit harder to get into/reach into the back. Was this part of the reason you hated it? I saw one not long ago, thought it looked pretty useful (had a little storage compartment in it), but I didn't consider that it might have it's downsides as well.

    2003 Texas Sahara Build

I bought my 2003 Sahara on July 16th 2019 and initially focused on steering and suspension to give it some decent road manners and keep it from acting like an idiot on the highway. From there I started in on some of the other stuff I wanted to do. It isn't really a daily driver or a trail...

    Texas Making CB Great Again

Now you just have to get someone to come back on your dang radio check. LOL.

    Texas Making CB Great Again

I hope this is true because the mullet is making a comeback. I bet I see a few a week now here in the Dallas area. Someone famous must have started the trend again. Even though it is mostly dead air, I keep it on for the occasional solid gold trucker one liner like this gem I heard sitting...

The unfortunate JKU & JLU of the day thread

Man, I'm there with you on this one. I wouldn't mind driving it for a minute myself.

Buying used can still support American manufacturing

Man, you scored big time as far as I am concerned. I like the quality of their stuff. Let me guess... Your TJ now has a glove box, console, rear locking drawer, side lock boxes, under seat drawer, and hood lock? I can't think of anything else they even make.

Jeep names: What are your names and how did you decide?

I would think that naming your Jeep or it acquiring a name from a wheeling trip or something by your buddies would be kinda personal or at least have a good back story. That being said, I drive by a used car dealership on my way to work five days a week and they have had a JK out there for a...

The unfortunate JKU & JLU of the day thread

I figure an unfortunate Gladiator of the day thread might need to be started soon if there isn't one already. Nevermind... I found the thread. I popped into 4WP Saturday to return a CB antenna mount I changed my mind on and there were two 2020 Gladiators still with paper plates on them in the...

    Hello from Texas

Thanks! I went to HS in SW Arlington in the 90s, probably only been back over there a handful of times since though. I should drive down Green Oaks some day soon for old times sake and see if it has changed much. Im sure Cooper is still a nightmare, Collins too probably.

The unfortunate JKU & JLU of the day thread

It took me a few days but I finally looked at every single one of these. I have seen a couple of good candidates in the wild but unfortunately I haven't been in position to snap a pic just yet. Great thread.

    Texas Making CB Great Again

Do most of you that daily drive your Jeep run with your CB on or is it just used during a trail run? I am not old-old, but I am kinda old. When I was a small town teenager in the 90's many of us (no matter what we drove) had CB's and we always had them on. We'd chat it up if someone drove by...
