Who’s done something you absolutely hate you did to your TJ .

A borgersen lower steering shaft was a huge mistake for me . Awful . It’s headed back to them also. It was 9 thousandths smaller at the bearing . Made the steering sloppy , noisy and rough .

Hmmm...... currently it has to be the bedtread. It doesn't fit right its igly to me. I can't wait until I swap it out for something better.

What does @JMT have to do with this?

I think I'll always regret having gone to 35s.
He mentioned the idea for this thread . I made it plural by mistake. Didn’t want steal his idea .

My 06 had 35’s..,boy I yanked em fast. Going to 33” cooper sst pros was like a cheap regear .

I understand 35’s for The Rubicon Trail, Jerry and Blaine’s world , and so forth . Otherwise , I feel they are nearly too much tire for an in line 6 powered TJ. Just out of scale .

Ahhh, I obviously missed that!

Yep, for my world 31s are all I need, or maybe 33s at the very largest.

I grew to really regret my old bumpers and tire carrier. But I also learned why they were a poor choice and ended up making a far more informed desicion on their replacements than if I had something that wasn't so bad.

Well not quite the same thing but I regretted my OME lift as it revealed DW until I upgraded the front end. Now since I got that sorted out not a thing

Part of me thinks I should of went with 33s but trails here can be so rutted down that the ground clearance is needed so 35s was final choice. Does great but I need to regear.

When I first bought my LJ I didn’t know enough and paid for new shocks (Pro comp) and Control arms (oem) a higher price than throwing Savvy CAs, a lift, and new shocks on.

I got taken by a shop though, and hard to blame anyone but myself on that “mod”.

Beyond that, I think I’d have better planned out electric lines and understood how relays worked. The rat’s nest I have today will be much cleaner when I make a custom “spod” like system in the future.

(Rookie mistake) Rugged ridge pocket flared guards....its dropped my clearance by 2 inchs or more...rubs on even the slightest flex....Should have left them stock and lifted it first before fitting

Pocket flares. Horrendous decision, would've been better off lighting a cigar with those couple hundred dollar bills.

Besides that does regretting the prior owner’s front bumper choice count?

Drop down tailgate. Stupidest fucking idea ever and I made one before they were available as a product.

I assume when it was down it made it a bit harder to get into/reach into the back. Was this part of the reason you hated it?

I saw one not long ago, thought it looked pretty useful (had a little storage compartment in it), but I didn't consider that it might have it's downsides as well.

Yep. Boils down to ease of access.
