97 TJ RHD Dash Electrical Issues

For those that don't know I'm a active duty Marine stationed in Okinawa Japan. Okinawa just got slammed with Typhoon Khanun not once but twice over a 7 day period. My Jeep is having a few issues after we finally got released from our shelter in place order. Water never reached the door seals...

In search of a guide for Big Bear 8-14 May

Anybody in the Big Bear area that would be willing to take me and my daughter out on John Bull, Gold Mountain, Holcomb Creek and any other good ones. I got an LJR w/TT on stock suspension and 33s. I think the Jeep is capable but the driver not so much. It is a manual and I haven’t had much...

Brakes won't hold when engine stalls

Vacuum held for one full pedal. About half for the second. Zero on the third. I could have went into the black and just started pushing all the pedals on the hill trying to stop.

Brakes won't hold when engine stalls

When I replaced the calipers in the parking lot last year I had my daughter push the petal to the floor then close the screw. Repeat until no more sputtering and a smooth steady flow of fluid into a Gatorade bottle.

Can anyone with a manual confirm or deny that their brakes hold after stall?

Brakes won't hold when engine stalls

I was midway up a hill climb last weekend when I stalled my Jeep. When the engine died I rolled all the way back down the hill even though I was pushing the brakes as hard as they would go. Once I flattened back out I was able to get it to stop. When the engine is running the brakes work well...

What u-joints come on the TJ?

@Jerry Bransford Just to confirm the Exc. listed on the Denny's doc means excluding? So a 2006 LJR the 2 spot (front driveshaft to axel) requires a 5-793x.

2006 Rubicon manual to auto swap

It is the very same. I'm stationed in Camp Pendleton for the foreseeable future and I don't want to squander the opportunity to get offroad while I have access to the holyland of off-roading. I will accept all the help available.

2006 Rubicon manual to auto swap

Ok.....just found this thread. Not a deal breaker but this just became a little more difficult. Does a 2006 wiring harness have connections for both automatic and manual transmissions? Short answer. Hell no! Looks like the 97-02 wiring harness has both. I wish I would have caught that before...
