Just went on a nice afternoon walk and picked up 2 qts. I'll look at it closely towards the end of the day.

What do the teeth look like up close? Hard to see in your photos. Did you rotate the pinion gear to get a look at all the teeth? If you changed the oil previously and it had "chunks", you obviously have something set up incorrectly. The rotation is likely the backlash. Gears require precision...

I don't see anything obvious, yet. I'll grab more fluid at lunch and see what I can find.

All in good fun. If I was in your position, build an S35 and don't look back. Plenty here have proven the S35 to just plain work.

TL/DR: Should I rebuild to a Super 35 or keep looking for a Dana 44?

My 12.5lb roll of lincoln wire came from home depot. They had several rolls available right off the shelf.

Did some googling and looks like proclip sells a slim magnet ring kit that I may try on the outside of the case. My previous phone was the same, I just had a slim magnet on the back of my otterbox case. It held for several years.

Picked up a new phone yesterday (dont tell Zorba) and bought a UAG case with a supposed magnet built in. The built-in magnet will not hold the phone on my truck dash mount at all (very very weak). I think its for a wireless charging feature rather than a mount. Can anyone recommend a rugged case...
