Finished up my Old Man Emu ultimate lift. Also did the ZJ tierod upgrade and had new Spicer ball joints installed. Of course it wouldn’t be complete without a front end alignment..

While installing my OMU lift, I went ahead and replaced the brakes.( shoes, spring kits and drums) while attempting to replace the wheel cylinder, I couldn’t get the brake line screwed into the new cylinder correctly. I had plenty of slack on the brake line and it wasn’t crossed threaded. I...

I started my Old Man Emu ultimate lift. I just did the rear today. I will tackle the front next weekend. As long as I was doing it, I went ahead and replaced the brakes and I’m also doing the tie rod upgrade

I’m in the process of installing my Old Man Emu ultimate lift. I noticed the rear Bump stops have deteriorated. Do I just order the OEM Bump stops or is there a better aftermarket option?

3095R is not needed if you go with the ZJ Tie rod upgrade. The ZJ tie rod has the TRE built into it.

Thanks, one more question. I’ve read this entire thread... I understand that most people “Are not “ replacing the right ( passenger side) TRE at the draglink. PN# 3095R. They say that it “is not” Part of the ZJ upgrade. However, even if it is a stock TJ part, why not replace it if you are...

Irun says to not use the ZJ drag link (DS1430)because of the angle difference! I’m confused

When doing this upgrade, if I Order all the parts Chris mentioned, wouldn’t I still need an additional inner tie rod to attach to the pitman arm?

Thanks. That sounds like a plan. So the the ZJ tierod end fits into the TJ steering knuckle and pitarm without ant trouble?

If I’m replacing the draglink I might as well get a new tie rod as well. I want to do it right. My old man emu ultimate lift that I ordered from Dirk at DPG came in today. Hopefully doing that this weekend

I’m going to replace the tie rod ends on my 2004 TJ. The tie rod on the passenger side of the draglink does not look like it’s replaceable. It looks like it’s just part of the draglink. Is it replaceable?

My wife has a bad back and doesnt like to take the jeep on a road trip. While in Florida a couple months ago, we rented a Mustang convertable. She loved how comfortable the seats were. Has anybody ever considered converting to power seats for their TJ?
