Hay guys, I am changing the power steering box on my tj, and need to attach the pittman arm to the drag Link end. I put the castle nut on the thread, and the thread spins along with the nut. Is it supposed to do that, or did I damage the thread-spindle-thingy- majigy? Thanks for the help.

Use a jack to push the joint and it's stud upward so it fits tightly into the Pitman arm. Then you can tighten the nut.
Remove the grease fitting first.

Excellent advice Jerry, not sure I even knew that trick, but the taper is going to grab it when he lifts a little- I like it.

Of course, no need for more damage.
No need to remove the grease fitting. The trackbar is right behind it. Shove a prybar under the draglink near the end get it up on the trackbar and pry up. That will lock the taper in so it can be tightened. If you struggle some, put the jack under the prybar handle and snug it up.
