Anyone use one of these serpentine belts? Mopar belts are back ordered at all my dealers and this was what I was able to find at an O’reillys in terms of “premium”.. I guess they put Kevlar in the belt instead of a poly based thread. This makes the belt stiffer and that is what brings better performance when using a supercharger (my jeep is not supercharged). I think I’m gonna order an OEM belt and replace it when it comes in. I’m sure in the right application it would be a nice belt (the RPM) but for our jeeps.. I’m not quite sure 🤔

No more Goodyear belts, they are now Continental.

Save yourself some money and get a Gates or Continental belt. Nothing special about the MOPAR one, they just contract them out to the belt manufacturers and stamp MOPAR instead of Gates, etc.

Good to know, I just generically go “mopar parts!!” Because I know a lot of aftermarket stuff is trash. I have ran gates and continental belts on many other cars with no issues, even Napa belts because they seemed pretty decent and have a lifetime warranty

Yeah, never run the lower cost belts or hoses it you are planning on keeping the vehicle.

Continental sells the old GY Gatorback as a Continental Elite now.
