I’m having issue with replacing my rear shocks bushing. I been trying to install the bushing and it won’t go in. I’m replacing the bushing on old man emu and I’m not sure if I have press out the ring that’s in the hole here is a picture of it. If anybody could help please post

What is your method? A vise, a socket, and grease are what most use to press these in with.

I just did mine...I had to put the lower in first because the upper bolts tweak the angle just enough...

I also used a bar to nudge the sides a touch more open...

Maybe a bigger bolt, too. 😉

I need one of these vise things. I spray mine with slippery ArmorAll, put a small 2x4 over the bushing and smack it with a hammer.

I'm assuming its the lower bushing you are trying to install? Not the bar pin at the top correct?

The ring is probably going to have a taper or a high point in the middle. If you press it out you have a cylinder and need something that doesn't require a taper. The bushing you are forcing in there should be obviously tapered or not. Jam it in if it's the right type, don't if it isn't. There really is allot of margin for error here. Force it, jam it in. We wont tell if you screw it up the first few times.

NO you don't. Using the hourglass shaped bushings instead of the flat ones makes it go in much easier. They do the same job.
p.s. That's what I did with mine.

I'm still waiting.........................22 days later......................................
LMAO.... I been busy with the family being a Track Dad and Color Guard Dad I'm always traveling.. Ok got the Adjustable Rear Tack Bar in and the Lowering T-Case. Now the here's the issue with the Lowering T-Case Kit, I'm having issue shifting to 2nd and reverse including 4 Low, so I took out the spacers and I feel vibration that a lot of Jeepers talk about. Been doing research and I guess I'm gonna either get a shift extender bracket or install the SYE and get a new Rear Driveshaft, Northridge 4x4 has a SYE kit Advance Adapters SYE and Adams Rear Driveshaft. I also thinking I'm gonna need an Rear Upper Adjustable Control Arm.
What do you think?

Do you have a 2" lift like your profile says? Did you get one of those large 1-1.25" t-case drops? If so, remove it and drop the skid with thick washers, just enough to get rid of the vibes and fix the shifting issues with 2nd and reverse. A MML will do the same thing.
