Anyone else big fans of the Home Depot Mobile App?

I find myself using it all the time inside the store; it knows when your there and a quick search directs you to the isle and bin # for the thing your looking for.

It may be less workers are around to help you find something but it’s pretty decent substitute from what I’ve found…

I use the app more than the website
Loads faster and is easier to use while wandering the isles looking for a refrigerator water filter

I don't particularly like Home Depot for a few different reasons but I was there yesterday because it's only two miles from my house and I needed a handful of fasteners. As I walked toward the fastener aisle I passed 4 Home Depot employees all leaning on a pallet full of something. It almost looked like they were playing cards but all four phones were out. I didn't know or care what they were doing but when I walked back toward the checkout, I heard one of them announce, "It's right where I told you! Look the app says so!"

I shop at Home Depot because its the closest hardware store. However, if you dont know where to find something getting anyone to help you is a chore. I do look at their website (not the app) to find the isle location of the thing I am there for if I cannot find it.

I prefer Ace Hardware--not the biggest selection, but they have specialty bolts, and typically have harder-to-find items (in my opinion) like the replacement vaccuum breaker parts for my freezeless outdoor faucets. Any employee there is more than willing to help customers. Dont forget the popcorn!

Ace is overpriced, but within walking distance of my house, so I use them quite a bit. Homeless Despot is a long walk or a short Jeep ride away, bLowes is in another town and I really don't like shopping there although I usually do when working on a rental property as its close by. I haven't had the best experience there.

I didn't know bLowes was "that woke"...

That is the only way I find anything in that store since no one there knows anything. Be aware though that it may show something in stock but it is not always on the floor here as they are way too slow restocking shelves.

Out here in AZ we have Lowes and Home Depot right next to each other every 2 miles on center in each direction. There is even a private road in a shopping district called "Home Improvement Way" and they are both 100 yards from each other. I don't like either of them. I shop one of the largest ACE's in the nation less than 2 miles from my house instead.... I know the family that has the franchise.

The Ace by the house is a good sized one and we try to buy as much as we can there, got a smokin deal on a Honda lawnmower from them
We do still hit Lowes and Home Depot (Milwaukee deals) for stuff Ace doesn't have a good selection

It is tough to get ahold of people there, I hate the checkout layout too. That said, I can just about throw a rock and hit the store from my house though so I’m there all the time

I am there far too often want too or not. SBS is decent for building materials and Trustworthy is ok for some things but they do not have everything.
