Replaced Headlights with Truck-Lite Knockoffs

I bought my whdz truck lite knock offs 2 years ago. Direct replacement. No adjustment necesarry. They are great. Never been flashed by oncoming traffic.

I wonder which ones your running into that are so fed up they need adjusting down so far?

To bad. I paid 65 bucks . And never looked back. I just cant see soending $600 on headlights. Id rather donate that money to a worthy cause. Lol.

Unless its a safety issue and u need heated lights. I get that.
Do yours have the brand name on the back? The ones I bought off ebay do not.

I don't remember honestly. Nothing that was prominent.

Who knows with these Chinese factories. There are undoubtedly knocks offs of knocks. And great knocks. And ones that are poorly executed. I don't think the knock off manufacturers of the original ones foresaw the demand.

To get a set of headlights that are what? 80 percent as good as the originals? Even half as good say - for a tenth of the price? Its hard to go wrong.

Im very sorry to hear about this latest batch that seem low quality or poorly designed. I wish there was a way of identifying the good ones from the bad ones. But for even a hundred bucks. Its worth a try. To me anyway. Especially if you buy them from Amazon. Where its super easy to return.

Has anyone researched the reviews on the different ones on Amazon? Not that reviews are always right on there.

Hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel on the headlight project.
no light ... just a brick wall

Finally got my lights sorted. Got rid of the garbage knock offs and went with truck lites. 300 on Amazon.
Knock offs were nothing but problems. Truck lites dialed in fairly effortlessly, after having to replace the broken mount because of the knock off fit problems.

Large thread, so question ? are these heated ? I'm On Long Island, we do get our fair of snow. Is heat even headed ?
No, they are not heated. The only time I have had any issues with snow is when it’s right around 32-33° and it’s wet snow. We just had a spring snow storm a couple weeks ago and I had to get out and clear them off a couple times. That’s more times than I had to the rest of this winter. I live in the mountains, I’ve had incandescent bulbs pack up if the conditions are right.

Well they look promising.
If you go through the reviews there is no one complaining about having to adjust them super low. All the review pictures look like the headlights are adjusted normally.

Has anyone tried the SUP-LIGHT brand Truck-Lite knock offs from amazon?
Seems the recommended WHDZ ones are up to $220 CAD.
SUP-LIGHTs look identical and are $130.

They have an eBay store that seems to carry the same lights for quite a bit less. Can't vouch for their quality or performance. Did consider them but went the Toyota headlight option instead. Prefer the OEM look

I've got both Cibie and Hella H4 housings like the Toyota with cheap led bulbs and they work great. It's a good option. Can't stand plastic headlights, glass for the win.

Which bulbs are you using? I have the Toyo H4 kit with the Hella 80/100 bulbs. Love the pattern, look, performance but not the temperature. I would like something a bit cooler.

Yes, they look like the knock-offs I ordered from amazon some years ago.
Positives: Have held up and work great.
Negative: Made in China and will not replace with CinaComm again, will pony up and go with Truck-lights next time.
FUCK CHINA!

The link of the first post still says $99 for me and has a 5% off coupon.

I've had mine 4 years now. They had issues once in a crazy blizzard when moisture got into one but I resealed it with rtv and it's held up great since. They did need to be adjusted super low though.

Ya that’s because I’m in Canada, apparently amazon.ca doesn’t offer that 5% off. If my math is right I think it would actually be a bit cheaper still to go through amazon.com, they’re saying $30 import fees. But I’m not sure I’d be getting the same return policy/warranty.

Have a set of WHDZs arriving tomorrow. Here's hoping I have good luck and get the road going version not the UFO spotting version. For less than $100 and with Prime returns I figure it's worth a roll of the dice.

I know most of us want to buy Made in America, but these KNOCK-OFFS were less than 1/3 the price of the Truck-Lites so I thought I would give them a try ... WOW! what a difference over stock.

They still need adjusting, but I thought I would post pics anyway.
