Significant coolant leak

Hi folks.
First and foremost, I’m a novice in training for general mechanical knowledge. Purchased a 2001 TJ a year ago to learn a bit. I’ve been successful in some minor upgrades fixes but this one scares me…
I pulled into the garage on a 102° day here in Texas after a 10 mile drive and I could hear the rumbling of my coolant overflow (boiling?). Then the splashing beneath.
I replaced the thermostat today and while the Jeep is running this is what is occurring.

Feels bad…any thoughts / recommendations very much appreciated. Thanks

If there vids I could not get them to play. I see a couple drips on a trans hose. Could be a bad water pump and its leaking from the weep hole underside.

There should be nothing that scares you in this if you have the ability to work cars at all. There is a great thread on this and other items in the How To or Resources, can't recall. If you search, you'll find them. I just changed the thermostat and flushed the system this weekend, down in Cedar Park, TX and yes, it's crazy hot right now and will test your system if it's not up to par.

This is a great place to start, depending on what you have in your TJ.

1. Take the opportunity to flush and drain the whole system. Get Prestone Radiator flush and put it in, drive around a day or two if you can keep it from over heating.
2. Go on Amazon and get a 8mm Drain Plug socket https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EDG5Q60/?tag=wranglerorg-20 I bought a set, but there are single ones they just take a week to get. You should drain the entire block.
3. On that thread there are links and part numbers to Mopar, Chrysler Water Pump, Mopar Radiator is out there if you don't have an OEM, I have an aftermarket and a Mopar is coming and will be in next week, if you don't have a Mopar Radiator I would change it out.
4. Get Zerex G05 HOAT and drain the entire system when you do this, I would also suggest the Stant Superstat Thermostat and replace that while at it. Felpro Gaskets, and look up the thread on drilling a small hole in thermostat and install that hole 12 o clock position.

The way the heat is here, you can't mess around with the cooling system, get Mopar parts, and flush the system and do a ground up.
