Took the top off for the first time. It was easier than expected. So worth it. A totally different driving experience. Wife won’t let me take the doors off yet, she is a bit scared.

Are there any tool-less replacements for the torx bolts for securing the top?

Yes, here’s the kit you are looking for.

1997 to 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ Easy On Off Hard Top Fasteners Nuts Bolts KIT https://a.co/d/3KQDcws

My wife was just like that with removing the doors, especially because of our kids. I was like, “babe, motorcycles don’t even have doors, and we still have seatbelts.” Then I just did it and never looked back.

It's so liberating isn't it!!!!! Takes me back to the late 60's early 70's when women were burning bras    🤫

Rereading that I realise it sounds like I’ve not taken the top off before - I was talking about the doors! Top folded away for the week at least. Not sure if I can be bothered to remove it completely.

Perfect. Thanks

When I first bought my Jeep, my GF asked why do I need another vehicle? (I already had four) And the first time I picked her up with the doors off and top off, she didn't want to get in. But now, she loves it and if I pick her up in another vehicle she asks "where is the Jeep?''

Yeah Long Island an no doors don't work for me, I love my half doors. I have not had the top on mine in 2 years, if it is not nice I drive something else.

My first trip to New York horrified me- I never hear such profanity, over like ordering breakfast. Man I would get ate alive up there 🤣🤣

As far a driving experience goes, top off is cool but doors off is cooler. Of course totally naked takes the cake.

Everyone cheers for going topless, but those with experience know the real fun starts when the bottom comes off
