Just finished clearing out the most clogged heater core probably in history. Insane amount of rust, gunk and hard particles came out for days on end. Replaced entire cooling system except heater core for obvious reasons.

After some flushes, one thermocure, distilled water, Prestone etc. Today I’m letting it get to temp with a Prestone flush in there. Maybe 10 min max and I hear a hissing. Kill the engine and look underneath and can see a stream spewing from the rear of the engine block!

Could this be a blown head gasket? Small hole in the block? Hasn’t done this since this time.

Please any and all help. Thanks

Picture is from underneath looking at the rear top of valve cover/block. This is literally a steady stream that didn’t stop until everything was cooled down and drained. Poked it with a stick to confirm.

Remove old steel freeze plug, clean the outer surface, apply sealant and install a new brass freeze plug.

Thank you! Do I need to yank the engine out to do this or will I be able to with what little room I have. Dont mind removing a few things and my pops has an engine hoist if we really need but good lord do I not wanna do that
