I replaced my PCM with the one from WranglerFix and on the same day the check engine light came on with a P0016 code (camshaft position sensor for bank 1 does not correlate to the signal from the crankshaft position). It could just be a coincidence that it happened on the same day. I did some Googling and discovered that OPDA is a common issue with 2005-2006 Wranglers. I don't know if the previous owner replaced the OPDA and if the original sensor was used. Part #689-201 refers to a Dorman unit so I have to assume that the OPDA was replaced. All the YT videos say to use an original sensor, but how can I tell?
Without knowing the history behind it, should I replace it again?
