Hello,

I just installed new stainless steel hard brake lines on my Jeep. It is touching the frame on multiple locations where the original brake line did not touch. Are there options to protect hard brake lines post installation?

What are your thoughts on this?

As long as the new line is secured, I wouldn't worry about it.

Mine are also touching the frame in many places.

Thank you all for your responses. I changed the brake lines because I lost 90% brake suddenly because of a leak. So I am being extra cautious about rubbing.

The line that rubs the most is the front passenger one. It seems to run far enough from the engine. I am hoping adding rubber fuel lines to protect will not cause any fire hazards?

I use 10mil PET braided split loom on all the harnesses I make. I started using sections on my hard brake lines where I was noticing abrasion taking place. Works like a charm…

Different sizes and colors available on eBay…
