Toyota lights on your TJ! Cheap, quality LED alternative

I just walked into my local Toyota dealership and ordered it. They called me when it came in and I picked it up. No fuss or worries, no shipping, and I know it's legit.

40 otd for my 1st set, 46 for my 2nd. I have an extra lens if anyone needs them

Underwhelmed with bulbs that came with the Toyota kit but had to try them. Now to find the 80/100 upgrade that are in the shop, pull housing and replace. Dipshit.
Yup, wiring harness is done.

So, if I want to avoid the dipshit status I should order the bulbs and put them in before the install?:D

Dug these up. Not 80/100 but got them on recommendation and from Daniel Stern at a premium price if I remember. He says they'll outperform the 80/100 IIRC.

We shall see... someday.

I got the buckets to work, they were just adjusted too far in. I installed the lights and harness today and used the Hella H4 100/80 and love these lights! The LED lights that came on my Jeep were the worse headlights ever, these lights are perfect for what I wanted, they are not as bright as the LED lights on my F150, but they are 1,000 percent better than what was on there and I don't need anything better on my Jeep. I am really glad I found out about these. The harness was simple to install and even with changing out the buckets it was a fast project. So worth it!!!

Had to whack my pass side orginal light last night to get it to come back on.just ordered these instead of getting stock replacements. Cool upgrade

I pulled the trigger and bought a kit. I suspect they, like most good things, won't be around long. The quality seems fantastic.
One question though: what about the old wiring? Anyone have hints on where they terminate and what it takes to disconnect them?

The new wiring plugs in to the old headlight plug. It just uses those signals to switch relays.

Unless you're going to install higher wattage bulbs, the factory is fine. If you do install higher wattage bulbs, the new harness plugs into the factory harness, meaning you don't remove anything.

I know this thread has some age on it but I can't locate the three prong female plug to use the mfs. Supposed to be on the passenger side, my harness system has never been tampered with, still factory application, do I need to open it up to find that plug? Head lights are installed, just need to run the new harness system.
