Shifting Issues

Ahh, yes. The transfer case is the 10mm hex and the transmission is the 17mm. On my six speed they used a 17 and a 14 to make life more difficult.
 
Ok so I was going to do it myself but by the time I bought the stuff to do it it would cost me just about as much to have another shop do it. Not to mention the time and mess I will undoubtedly make in my garage!
I took a road trip to a jeep specific shop (the jeep shop in PA) and they’re gonna change it out and give the whole thing a look.
 
My guess is they put ATF+4 in the transfer case (corrrectly) and assumed the transmission took the same (incorrectly) as many places are not familiar with manual transmissions these dsays.
