Got it mounted. With the original OEM mount the 33 inch tire I have just rested barely onto the bumper. With the new set up I wasn’t able to mount the new tire under the carrier because the bumper interference. So I installed the offset brackets. Now I have plenty of bumper clearance but I am 2 to 2 1/2 inches away from the old snubbers. I plan on getting some rubber mallets and cutting them to snug up the snubbers. 2 to 2 1/2 inches seems like a lot of extension so now I have a super heavy tailgate reinforcement and my tire is an inch and a half further away from the body of the jeep. Seems like it was a lot of weight added to the rear end of the Jeep. Maybe that will correct the forward rake I had on the jeep.

All in all, do you like it.

Yes, I like it. Fitting the snubber extensions is a pia. Finally bought several lengths of screws and a bunch of washers. Combined with rubber mallet head shims I will get the tire tight to the snubbers.

I’d like to see it. The extension you made. Do we really need the snubbers?

Need?, I don’t know. They definitely stabilize the spare. Extensions not one piece. Measuring, taking tire on and off, it’s quite a pain in the butt. If I remember, I will surely add some pictures of my fine work.

I’m done for the day. I bought a few lengths of bolts and a bunch of washers. Hopefully snuggers will be completed tomorrow and the project will be done also.
