@RINC What is this scoop for, passenger or engine, and is it factory? I've never seen one, or at least never noticed one, but I'm also not much of a VW person.

Can you guess what those buses I posted have in common?

OK so share... Since most of us aren't VW fans or bus fans. I owned one in Germany> Had to put a new engine in it. Other than that it was just a good rig for carrying 5-6 people in comfortably. We used it to go on ski trips to the Alps a few times. We were coming back from one of the trips when the engine blew up.
Only cost me $400 to have a new used engine installed.

I drove a crew cab VW truck for my job until they got us a new Ford van instead. Much nicer and you could go more than 100 KPH and not get passed by mopeds going up hills.

They were all Barndoor Buses. 1949 thru 1955.
