Could this be standard equipment?

This was not in my last TJ.
I found this behind the glove box and it seems to terminate into a large wire bunch near the steering wheel. Was there any optional equipment that would use this type of plug? The strange thing is it's wired very well. Each wire is soldered and sleeved. has many wires routed all around up into a main wire bunch.

Definitely not stock.

Reminds me of some of our cables on military radio and electronics equipment.

Could have been some kind of programmer or a quick disconnect for a CB radio or mic.

Or the feds are after you...

Where's the other end go?

Definitely not original. Not your typical PO wiring butchery either. Looks like an aviation plug. You'll know it was an A & P if all the wires are the same color.

Solved, it was an aftermarket first gen Ipod device junction box, it's out and the 2lbs of wire.
