They look like the brake hose holes but for the rear arms?

A bracket that secures the brake line attaches there.

Ah...then it's likely my ABS sensor! I can't remember, I just know something bolts there and assumed it was the brake line.

Went out and took a closer look. It's clearly the OEM ABS sensor wiring.

That does not look factory.
However, I do not have ABS.
I should elaborate. I bought this '05 Sport in June with only 35k miles on it, all stock, no mods, super clean. It has a lot of factory options for a Sport, including ABS. There were no replacement or aftermarket parts on the Jeep when I got it. Here's a picture of the MOPAR parts diagram that shows the bracket, it's #2 in the diagram.
