Car pics too cool not to share

Saw this today at my mechanic at the end of my block, he works on all the oldies...1970 AMC Javelin, seemed in great shape. The hood was getting some touch ups. Said SST on the rear quarter panel?

You surely jest don't you......

If I was building anything that I felt could warrant an SBC (Small Block Chevy) it'd be a true blue SBC.

A 383 stroker with a huffer on it.

But a T-Bucket would have to have a SBF in it instead. A 351 or?

To each his own , but a T-bucket should have a Buick Nailhead or a Blown SBC. The right answer for a small block Ford are a Sunbeam Tiger or a notch Fox Mustang !

This is my father standing outside his 1953 1 ton Dodge. @Squatch et al, what would have been the engine and (4-speed) transmission in this truck? I've only been able to find info on 1/2 tons online...

And the truck he traded the Dodge off for, I may have mentioned it a time or two. Yea, that's me in the picture!

I'm just the other way around. To my eyes, a '66 is nice, but a '69 has some real flair to it.

I can see that but I like the '66 lines better.

Just like while I can see a SBC in a t-bucket I'd rater have a SBF in it.

Not saying I'm "right" just how I see it. Shame more can't be accepting of others & their opinions and choices.

My then-wife and I owned and drove a '71 Demon (not a 340 car, though, just a 318) for years. It was our daily, and we drove it cross-country twice. Never should have sold that car.

I say that about a few cars I've owned thru the years.
