Review: Auxbeam 12-gang Bluetooth switch panel with remote

Interested in the headlight review. LEDs always leave me worried about snow. Just had a snow storm the other day that had the whole front end iced up. My halogens were hot enough to keep the ice off the headlight lens, most LEDs don't produce enough heat at the lens to keep them clear of the slush build up. Maybe these will?

There are heated LED headlights, but usually quite expensive. I run heated Trucklights, and they work fine in the snow.

But, I also believe there are a few members here in very snowy locations who run non-heated LED’s without problem.

I’ve never had issues with my JW speaker non heated and I used to take it out in the fresh powder on backroads.

Do to salt, I rarely see snow now.

Since July 2022 I've had Auxbeam H13 25,000 lumen (per pair) LED bulbs in my JKU, including through last winter. We had several big snows that winter, including one so deep that my LJ with plow couldn't push all the snow so I had to plow 20 feet, shovel away the pile, plow the next 20 feet, etc. (that's not typical, in the dozen years I've had the plow for the LJ that's the only snowfall it couldn't cope with). But I digress...

These are the bulbs in my JKU:

I didn't have any trouble with icing on the headlights last winter. That doesn't mean there isn't ever an icing problem with LED headlights, it just means that at the times I was driving the JK, even in falling snow, I never had a problem. Going into the winter I expected the worst, so I designed a winter heating grid option that was to be installed over the headlight lens, held captive by the headlight retaining ring and therefore installable before the season and removable after the season. I was waiting for an icing problem to build it and never having an icing problem, I never built it. Maybe this year I'll need to build it. I'm not aware of any product on the market like that so assuming it would do the job, it could be an interesting product for someone to bring to market.

Another Auxbeam related topic... as part of my testing relationship wih Auxbeam, I've written a number of articles for the blog on their website. I just learned they posted 3 new articles the other day that I did for them, they can be found at https://auxbeam.com/blogs/how-to-choose; I wrote all of the articles that are there right now except the ones on the Ford F150 and GMC Sierra. Much of the content has been posted as part of my reviews here and in other places so some of the information may not be new to regular readers of what I post.

I've pretty much finished up testing the new Auxbeam headlights and writing a review. The lights aren't on the web site yet so I asked them when they planned the release and they told me January. They'd prefer that I post the review at about the same time as the release, so I guess it'll be about a month before I post the review.

But I'll cheat a little bit, in this video I'm testing the DRL and turn signal halo functions in my '06 Wrangler pickup. Some lights, especially LEDs, don't work correctly with the TJ's floating ground wiring for the front turn signals, but as you can see from the video, these work fine. The video starts with just the DRL illuminated, they I operate the turn signal and while the signal is blinking I turn on the headlight. They're projector-style lights so you'll notice just the projector lens light up and you'll also notice that the turn signal continues to work fine. Then I stop the turn signal and the DRL lights up again.

The projector headlights are very bright and well defined, but more on that when I am able to post the review. Sorry for the delay, stay tuned, I'll start a dedicated thread on these in January.

And this morning I got an email from the lithium battery company, they sent me this video showing them testing the battery voltage and packing it up for shipping. I'm very much looking forward to giving it a good test.
