What did you do to / in your garage / shop today?

Six sets of five wheels is my goal that I'm trying to get down to :ROFLMAO:

Well, I'm only two years into the Jeep rabbit hole. I've only got two sets of five wheels, but one is on the LJ. I sure hope I don't need to follow your lead and build a big rack for all the sets to come...:ROFLMAO:

Got a set of Canyons - they have an oversize safety hump that would probably hold a bead better than other wheels. I think the Moabs are like that too. Sort of interesting IMO.

Ran a dual diesel heater test in the garage tonight now that I received the longer exhaust pipe needed to fire up the 2nd heater, id say I burned about a 1.25 - 1.5 gallons of diesel in a 5 hour span of the test.

Anyhow had been about 33F, breezy and cloudy all day. garage temp was in the 50's when I left for work and 50.4F when the test began after work. no vehicles within the garage, machinery or anything that would generate any heat had been started or driven all day. again, the garage is fully insulated and a little over 700 sqft.

Temps running 2 heaters on max output as follows.
4:45PM - 50.4F (start of test)
5:45PM - 64.8F
7:00PM - 70.2F
7:55PM - 72.2F
8:55PM - 74.8F
9:50PM - 76F

Gave in for the night & shut down the test. seems like its gonna be a solid heater for my lack of other options. just need the temp to actually drop in the garage to one of them days where you have to work on the vehicle but dont want to because the temp is too low.

I have started playing with one of these as well. Eventually it may go in an off road trailer I am building. For now it is in my little shop. I got a cheap 12v supply off eBay to power it. Heat output seems good but I have only fired it up a couple of times.

Nice. Would definitely be perfect for a trailer, portable heated quad, sxs or snowmobile repair garage / heated overnight camp hut or a warm up station in the winter.

im also going to be looking into a 12v power supply as I fried one of my old good "dumb" battery chargers.. currently diagnosing what component failed. have noticed the charger runs hot anyways with the lack of a cooling fan. between both heaters running it looks to be a little over 4 amps being consumed of 12 volts once the initial glow plug start up has finished.

I run off road red diesel in my heaters. No road tax. More BTUs in #2 diesel than #1 or kerosine. Mine is currently disassembled so I can weld 2 separations on the front of the plastic tank.
Note to self: Don’t buy a heater with a plastic tank.
