What did you do to your TJ today?

Passed vehicle emission test and got my early Bday gifts delivered today. Brand new upper frames and skins.

Finally sold my 4 GY Wrangler MT/R tires. 140 bucks is 140 bucks. Now I can get a fifth wheel and a spare! I almost sold them 3 previous times, but I live in the middle of nowhere, so people don’t want to drive out here. This guy was local and stoked to get them for his little Nissan. We talked awhile. Saw him the next day at Hondo’s. He already had them mounted up! He was pretty proud of them. 30 min later we drove back by and he was standing on Main Street staring at his wheels. LOL! For anyone who’s interested, he has some Quad-Pods for sale. They are made for our TJs and hold a 6.5” and 8” sub. They cost about $230 new on Quadratec. You could probably get them for $100 or less. He’s getting some rubbing with the tires, but great improvement over those tiny things he had. Not a TJ pic, but the tires spent most of their life on a TJ. Time to move on down the road

Ebay was offering a 20% off promo code, so I ordered a Currie Antirock for $310 shipped. :)
That's an unreal deal. So tempting. I'd actually like to get the SwayLoc, but it's very expensive... Great, great deal!

Removed three of the driver side body mount bolts just to see if they'd come out easily, which they did. I'm thinking about getting a body lift and finally putting my MML in. I will loosen the rest of them before I get one, just to make sure I'm not in for any surprises come install time.

I was on the fence for awhile, then couldn’t pass up the deal. I think I’ll need to modify my bumper a bit, but I’ll know for sure when I change out my shocks and cycle the suspension in a few weeks.

I put that off for a long time, too scared to see what I would find. I ended up with only one bad bolt, I was so happy!

I was happy the three middle ones came out without issue, but I'm nervous about the back ones by the shocks .

Which one gave you a problem?

Changed the transmission fluid and transfer case fluids for the second time since I bought this Jeep. Total mess no matter how careful I was, the Castrol ATF +4 is much nastier than the Mopar NSG370 fluid to me, so I spilled more of it of course >.<

The new fill and drain plugs put a smile on my face though.

Finally took the more professional route regarding my frame rust/skid plate issue. Since the top part of the frame is in good shape, got a longer bolt, drilled a hole through the top, jacked up the skid plate as flush as possible, and tightened the hell out of the bolt with an impact wrench. I don't think that skid plate has been that flush with the frame since I owned it. I know it's not a permanent solution, but hopefully it'll do for the next 6 months till I can afford to have a patch job done professionally.

Was hoping that this would alleviate that creaking/groaning noise I'm getting every time I move from a stop, but alas, still there.

I popped the doors off today it was so nice and sunny!

Rearranged my rear seat/cargo area, secured my subwoofer and amp, found new mounting locations for my shovel and machete, also attempted at re-installing my windshield mirror (keeps falling off for some reason no matter what I do).

Cleaning under the hood now that the sun is finally back out. Warbis waged with the relentless clay that accompanied this Jeep from the previous owner, but I'm finally getting the upper hand and it is starting to look closer to a new Jeep under there now..
