Need help sorting a variety of issues with my new TJ

I did something similar...97 guys, wiring, PCM, 4.0 and vin on a 99 2.4 frame and tub.

Done right it's not an issue.

Done wrong...and you're where you're at...

My guess is you have a mishmash of wiring. I'd download the FSMs for both model years and start sampling wiring colors... mostly concerned with what year the engine harness is, what year the dash harness is, and taillight harness.

You might want to send your PCM to @Wranglerfix wranglerfix.com for testing and to identify the year. It's fine if it's a 97 as long as it's all 97.

99 was the start of the neon motor?

Shame on you Jerry B. @AndyG's wife/sister is going to be pissed at you trying to break up their marriage. ;)

I need a brother, a sober one, a dad that calls me once in awhile, and a husband who gives me money and never talks I don’t care if we’re related or not!! Only joking I would rather not be related to my future husband
I feel so bad for you that I’m not going to charge you anything to test your pcm. You can call me to discuss at 866-888-7710.

“Gloom, dispair and agony on me!” -Heehaw 🤣

I tried calling but
you really are a great person Mark (y) (y)(y)

I tried calling you but I don’t know your name. So I didn’t know who to ask for. If you want you can call me at 4708897209.

We're gonna need blood samples from both you and @AndyG to check your DNAs, you're probably closely related cousins from all the inbreeding going on in your parts. :ROFLMAO:

Man I’m from Alabama - The last time forensic files did an episode down here they found 200,000 people guilty of the same crime.

when you get it running you should join us on a trail ride, we'll leave AndyG out so he doesn't scare you away ! we always have a bunch of laughs and have a good time even when parts fall off !

Welcome Paxton10, maybe you could better define what help you're looking for. Can you do some wrenching yourself, or are you looking for someone to help, or are you looking for ideas on what to check so someone you know can do the work?

Some photos under the hood and underneath might help guys point to things that look janky. Sorry you got scammed and find yourself in this mess.

I still need to go out with y’all… to watch @AndyG rebuild his Jeep on the road at the very least!

This stuff is better than SNL and I don't have to stay up late! :) @Paxton....as you can see, you've stumbled into a great group that, in between jokes, will give you some seriously good advice and assistance.

And we haven't even heard from @John Cooper in this thread yet. Usually, when John and Andy go at it, the thread really de-rails.

@John Cooper cut ties with the troublesome @AndyG. That "Pumpkinator" friend of theirs is said to have made better choices now too. Remind you of Joe and Kamala friends?
