So I'm in the eternal battle of where to go with the Jeep for 2024. After many discussions and wheeling, I'm fairly set on path forward. Some parameters I set for myself, thanks to this forum was to not steer to far away from original intent of jeep which is to have a weekend/nice weather toy to drive family around that is point and shoot at most any reasonable trail obstacle I'm so inclined to throw at it. After wheeling I love the functionality of this jeep, just want it a little longer and stable for climbs/off-camber crawling.

Where were at:

2006 Rubicon Factory Axles(Goal is to keep these and build them/If I swapped I'd probably just go the tons of 40's)
-Main reason to stay Rubi Axles is, one convenience they are there and do what I want them to do. Second, I get much wider I impede on real estate in garage for wife's vehicle which was requirement for Jeep purchase in first place that her vehicle can and will always fit in garage(This should probably be number 1 TBH).
-5" Teraflex LCG long arm w/ hi-steer setup. Kit was offered to me at a number that I couldnt pass up, new long arm/mid arm kit would have been 2-2.5x what I got this installed for. Most of the Texas rigs are running long arm setups, gives the option of going to 1 tons later utilizing existing Long arm lengths(This is what I tell myself anyways).
-4.88 gears/factory rubicon lockers & transfer case

2024 Build sheet:
-Stretch to 100" +/-, retaining stock axles/Likely replacing current rear long arms lengths with LJ or custom arms to accommodate this. Build off existing skid plate mounts and Axle mount locations(hopefully)
-Plan is to install Motobilt/Genright stretch tank to push axle back 5-6", whatever it will allow.
-Outboarded shock towers with 12" coil overs, If Im already outboarding figure might as well pop for coil overs in process.
-Cut/modify existing armor or if my OCD really kicks in, get stretch corners which require no/or less modification.
-If Slush fund allows, 37's/Beadlocks as well(go to 17" wheels) & big Brakes
-Front I can squeeze another 1-2" out of with current arm setup, which should get me to the 99-100" target.
-Hydro assist the front, cant/wont go full hydro(yet) due to state inspection requirements

I've read and re-read multiple builds that are similar or touch on at least one aspect here. Appreciate any feedback and recommendations from those that have done this already, if I'm overlooking something(quite likely), etc.

Couple things in closing, I'm committed to this jeep, swapping to LJ, buying existing built jeep, are not on the table. Its the journey not the result right.

This build link is the inspiration of where I'd like to head.

How is the build going?

He learned how to drive what he already had and saved his money. I used to go through the same thing when I raced motocross. Some people think lack of ability can be compensated for by buying expensive parts. IT CAN'T! I raced with the LUCK Stone guy (Charles Luck III) and Vice President Walter Mondale's son. They lost every time.🤫
p.s. Damn, did I just date myself.

Lol to be completely honest, forgot about this post. As with any build there is deviations and pivots more I learned about it, Ill be the first to admit I can make a bad idea, worse probably better then anyone.

Been wheeling it in its current state and very happy with as it sits 37's, 4.88's, chromos, etc. Still would like to get it out to 100" at some stage and will build that direction.

I picked up a 05+ superduty 60 with artec truss already on it and a disc brake 14 bolt cleaned up and ready for building. In them fairly cheap, as it is which is about the only cheap thing I've found looking at one ton builds.

Gonna wheel it thru this year and pick up stuff for the ton swap to do during wheeling downtime later this year/early next.

Here's a shot from this past weekend, did great.
