Hey folks,
Have a 2005 Jeep TJ Rubicon with a best top soft top. There are no door side bows.
Front windshield bow connects to rear frame with soft top bow adapter.
Do any 2005 Jeep tj’s have the door bows,
Cannot find them available anywhere.

Thanks in advance.

A photo of your jeep with the currently soft top configuration would be helpful.

To use a soft top you need two of these Door Surrounds for the soft top windows to slide into. Are these what you're missing?

Did you jeep come with a Bestop Soft Top but was missing these door surrounds?

Apologize, I don’t have a photo of this.
I have door surrounds.
I have a front bow that conects to the adapter- see attached photo.
This allows for top over front seats to fold back- sunrider config.

But it makes folding all the way back very difficult if not impossible.

Also I have looked for door bows.
They are available for tj years up to 2002. But not available - for 2003-2006.

Thanks for the reply.

I’m in Alabama and I’ll help you anyway I can but I just can’t make out exactly what component you’re describing

Hey there.
Thanks for the help.
Attaching some photos.
I removed soft top from Jeep so I can’t take a photo of it all together.

First pic is Jeep.
Have rear bow. See arrow at rear.

Do not have door bow.
See front arrow.

Do have door surrounds.
See pic and notice bracket.

Front windshield bow connects to front holes.
Roof now connects to rear holes.

This is the Soft Top OEM configuration for a 2005 Jeep TJ.

If you really have Bestop branded door surrounds they will also have these pivot points circled in blue which will be the first pivot point to fold your soft top back once unhooked from the windshield frame.

The part you are referring to is #29 (Side Bow Bracket). I believe if your jeep originally came with a Soft Top from the factory these two side bow brackets are screwed into the back of the B Pillar just to the left and right side of the front seats on the roll bar allowing for a pivot point. (This is the 2nd pivot point when folding your soft top down).

Is he? I need your Moab wheels since you don't like them. He said I'd have to steal your Jeep and sell it back to him for half price to get them. Never trust anyone from Alabama. Go Dogs.

No worries and thanks for all the help.
I am sure this is a best too soft top.
It has a big bestop logo on it.
I am not sure these are bestop door surrounds.
I do not have the door bows that help with folding back.

This might be a trektoo configuration.

My original intent was to understand if it’s possible to fold all the way back.

With your help I am understanding better.
Also just found this message on this forum.
Check it out.
Do you agree?

Bestop supertop folds all the way back on the frame but you remove the 3 windos. Bestop trektop you need to remove the whole top to be full topless

Thanks for all the help.
I have had this Jeep for about 2 years.
I have worked through many issues, but I still have many questions.
This durum is very helpful. Thanks.

Same here, I'm willing to help... although baseball season just started, so time is very short now... (and I use pics of my own Jeeps...)
