Getting a bad vibration at about 35 mph. Smooths out pretty quick. The whole dashboard rattles as if its going to come off. I was told u joints, but I'm not sure.

Pull your front driveshaft and secure it out of the way and drive it, if the vibes are gone you've narrowed it down to the front axle, which could be u joints like you said in the axle or the driveshaft.

I would inspect the U Joints in the drive shaft. Easy to disconnect the front and drive the Jeep and diagnose. That’s where I would start, if that didn’t show to be the cause, I’d pull the rear then run 4H and see.

Doesn’t hurt to balance and rotate tires but your description doesn’t make me think that would be the issue.

I’d go front then rear shafts, but doesn’t hurt to inspect the front axle U Joints as well.

Well, this could be a whole lot of things as you are about to find out. My advise to to work on one issue at a time to isolate the problem, you could end up down the proverbial "rabbit hole" Just sayin
