Window Shopping for Ramp Trucks or Roll Backs

I wasn't too far behind you since I should have graduated in 1979 but got kicked out in 1977 and then joined the Army in 1978. Drinking age was still 18 & yes CA & WA hadn't taken a huge shit yet... They raised the drinking age while I was stationed in Germany so I'd been drinking for 3 years & then come back to the states and was only 20....

I really do appreciate your service @Wildman. I spent 5 weeks in Marine boot camp before I was medically discharged because of a disease that I had in my left leg since I was eleven. I definitely can't complain about any of my issues compared to what you've endured because of your service to our great country. I sure hope it stays great.

I can't complain too much compared to many others I knew who were injured in Iraq or Afghanistan.
My hopes too.

I should of mentioned that I graduated highschool in 1975. That's when Texas was Texas, and actually, California was a pretty damn good state, long before it took a shit.

I started OTR in the late 90's. Tejas was still 60mph daylight and 55mph at night. The Peoples Republic of Greyout Davis, Commiefornia was and still is a shithole. Tejas is now 80mph. Heck, even Ohio is now a 65mph state. Commiefornia? 55mph for trucks and auto with trailers.

My main reason for starting this thread was to look into what was out there to haul my Jeep without a trailer.

A small group of anti-Americans get celebrated for a whole month while a larger portion of our people who gave life and limb get a fucking DAY?!!! GTFO!

Something is wrong when homeless Vets are ignored but trillions are spent in foreign aide?

Where's the Tylenol?!!

Damn late 90's? I got my CDL in 94.... That was after serving 14 years on active duty and then did 14 more in the Guard.. If the truck is large enough to haul the Jeep which would made it a Class 1V or V don't you still have to go 55 MPH in CA even if you aren't towing a trailer?

In Komiefornia, it's commercial trucks and autos pulling trailers.

I thought there was a GVW also like anything above 10K or something like that. Been over 10 years since I've driven into CA.

Used to HATE coming down the Grapevine with their stupid slow speeds.

WA & OR aren't much better with their split speed limits either.

Basically anything three axles or more is subject to the 55 mph rule.

Yep. Unless someone did a Cummins swap on it. And you have to come in from the bottom on those rigs as I remember.

Looks like a Dodge M-400 chassis , that's what Winnie used in the 70's , with the dual exhaust tips under the rear bumper , my money is on it still is running a 440 Thermoquad , 3 spd. 727 , with 4.56 rear axle.

Yep that's what I remember from those also. Had the privilege of working on a few too.
