Nothing like solving a problem by giving up.

The plastic ring connects to the speaker. The mesh between the plastic ring pries out. I brought tons of them. Just stick a screwdriver between the plastic and the grill, and pry out the grill. Someone may have glued the mesh to the plastic ring, but it should still be able to pry out. Or maybe someone did a tricky one and the mesh is a twist lock, so you would have to twist the mesh. My new ones are kind of tricky too but I don't worry about it and as long as they don't fall off like so many of my other ones. I don't even really remember how I put them on. But, I think they had tabs, but how I don't remember, but they aren't even close the ever falling off.
