Top off, rear washer line exposed, plug lost-

Stop on a slight incline about to climb “Rock Garden” at Stoney Lonesome-

Jeep off. Washer fluid starts blasting out of the rear line. Crazy.....wouldn’t stop til water got below the rear pump.

Now it won’t pump at all...nada....any of you guys experience anything like this ?

No fuse issue, pump seems dead, tried a new switch ....

Signed,
Rear Washerless in Alabama

My Alabamese is rusty. Can you explain what's happening again, but in Texan?

(I'm serious - I didn't understand your description of what happened or what the current problem is)

Language Primer-mayonaise

“mayon aise “ a problem down here - my rear washer was operating non stop on it’s own - using the switch had no affect- and now it nor a new one will activate the pump.

Are you sure the pump was actually running when the washer fluid was coming out? If you were on an incline, and the tank was above the hose end, gravity would push the washer fluid through the pump (they're impeller pumps, not positive-displacement pumps) until the water level dropped below the pump inlet. When is the last time that pump was run? My guess is the pump's been bad for some time, and since your hose didn't have a plug in it, you went up an incline, and gravity did it's thing. Test the pump by putting 12V directly to the terminals to confirm...

I was wondering about all that and don’t know- I just can’t get anything out of it now by way of the switch-

I wondered if it shorted out internally and just ran until he burned up

I’m not masterful at electrical usually can plug through it given time, if basic

They don’t have gravity in Alabama

Hey we honestly tried it. It just caused problems. It is why we strap our mobile homes down.

Have you ever tried to smoke gravity? We have. Went bad.
