We all know an upgraded headlight wiring harness will improve stock headlights, but will it also noticeably increase the brightness of LED headlamps? Yeah, LEDs draw less amps, but they are also voltage sensitive.

LEDs are more efficient so they don't draw as much current to produce the same light output. Incandescents lights are only 5% efficient, so 95% of that wire is to carry energy for heat conversion. No need to update wiring for LEDs, only if you're going from puny LEDs to higher current lights.

I got a reply from K Suspensions. They said there is no visible improvement for LEDs if using an upgraded harness, but if you measured via a lux meter there is a significant difference in readings. I may use the new harness anyway to give my light switch even more of a break.

I had the HD harness from the Toyo/Koito H4 kit installed. Left it when I switched to Holley's. No idea if made a difference but the Holley's sure did.
