New member here.
I'm working on a 97 wrangler Sahara 4.0 manual transmission. Vehicle hasn't been started or driven for probably 7 or so years.
It's a crank no start issue. No fuel no spark. Fuel pump doesn't run with key but I can run the pump by putting power to the relay with a power probe.
I'm also not receiving signal or i think its ground from the PCM to the asd relay.
I'm also missing the 5v signal from the PCM from both c2 pin 17 (591mv reading) and c3 pin 31 (6mv reading) with all sensors unplugged. I've checked for continuity to ground and continuity from sensors to PCM and sensors to sensors.
Also no communication from obd port to scan tool.
I'm pretty much sure the PCM is toast but is there anything else I am missing?
I ended up doing the phone charger hotwire to get 5v to the pin 17 and pin 31. I depinned both wires and have them hooked to the phone charger cord. ive verified 5v at all sensors.
I was also going through wiring diagrams and decided to check various continuity and such. I ended up finding continuity to ground on the green wires for the injectors and the upstream oxygen sensor. I dug through all the wiring and found nothing. Twisted and pulled on splices to find nothing. Eventually i unplugged the downstream oxygen sensor and lost the continuity to ground. I didnt see the downstream sensor in the injector circuit so that was weird to me.
Ive read so many forums and so much on the internet the past few days and have tried everything i feel.
dash guages dont really move at all. no spark, no injector pulses, no fuel pump. its like this thing is completely dead.
the radio works and the horns blows is about all it does
Any suggestions?
