Thinking of selling

Jeeps in my area aren't selling at all. People list them for way more than they're worth and they sit for months until the prices drop significantly. Good luck.
p.s. Clean it up really good and don't post offroad pics when trying to sell it.

IMO nothing used is selling. Musical instruments, guns, tools, etc. People are holding on to whatever money they have and not buying ancillary things right now.

Thinking of selling my 97tj.
And before I do I wanted to see what y’all thought it was worth.
I’ve done so much to it I’m sure some of you remember cause you helped me with it along the way.
I think I changed everything except the engine and the body.

You’ve done a lot to it. I especially remember you swapping to the 32rh. I’m sad to see it go. I think a lot of sentimental value/attachment.

I see it in the classic car world constantly. Wheels and tires are a common issue. The guy who wants a stock vehicle will not pay more, and may pay less, for a vehicle sitting on chrome 24" wheels, and the guy who wants 24"s won't pay more for a stock car riding on 14" wheels and period correct reproduction tires.

Check out these beauties- I just found out last week a local car dealer has a pretty good size personal collection- about 60.

And yes that is a real Shelby GT500.

I can see that, when I buy I don't want someone else's wheels and tires and I usually replace them with what I want soon after my purchase.

In the real estate world adding a pool will not make a home worth more. Updating the kitchen does. You’ll never get return on the money spent on upgrades the best it can do is help it sell faster if that’s what the buyer wants. When I used to sell my used vehicles I made up several flyers that people could take with them with all pertinent info and parked it on a busy tourist road by my house. It saves the BS phone calls. Remember you just have to find that One guy with the money.

That’s a good post.

Everybody needs a kitchen- Not everybody wants to fool with a swimming pool.

When something is individualized or personalized, It changes things.

My dad was always a tightwad.

He got offended when I wouldn’t take some shirts that had someone else’s initials embroidered on the cuffs. 🤣

I really would like to sell it to someone that knows and appreciates the quality and time we (we being this forum) put into building this Jeep. The average Joe doesn’t have a clue what an anti sway bar or a Chromolly axle , OX or any type locker is much less a 32RH.
it needs a knowledgeable person one that’s done the work and knows it’s potential.

I've had more than a few Jeeps that I sold and regret it still. All were good Jeeps, M38a1 with gun mount and semi auto M1919-a4, CJ3B, CJ2a, two M-151A1s (yes I know they are not really Jeeps) and two other TJs, one a 2006 Rubicon LJ and a 2001 2.5 TJ. Wish I had them all back. I now have a 2006 TJ which I will not sell unless I dies. Think before you jump. It's getting difficult at least were I am to find good one's.
