Hi All, after months and months of searching for the right jeep for me, I finally did it ! arriving start of next week.
I'm sure there are many many threads for me to read over the coming weeks, I have 2 quickies if someone would be kind enough to point me in the correct direction.

1. any good Amazon lists for accessories etc ?
2. the TJ has stock wheels and I want to man Tham up a little with maybe 16" or17" rims and some MT tyres. ( I just missed a great set of Rubicon ones on eBay ) , the TJ has a 2" lift currently
if any one has advise, thoughts and suggestions or things to be wary of please feel free.

thanks again, can't wait to post some pics etc when I have my new love.

Unpopular opinion - because I know how fun and exciting it is to buy stuff for your Jeep! - but first you should give it a thorough maintenance review. Inspect and/or replace fluids, plugs, wires, brakes, bulbs, hoses, belt, bushings, filters, tires (tyres), etc. The Factory service manual or a Haynes manual will tell you what needs maintenance at your mileage and how to update everything.
There’s also a good chance she’ll be dripping something underneath, so figure out what those fluids are and why they’re leaking so you can remedy those issues.
Once she’s roadworthy and you’ve gotten to know her better, drive her the way you want to (roads, trails, beach, rocks, …) and let all that tell you what she needs. There could be vibrations, rattles, squeaks, inadequate or uneven braking, loose suspension, heat management issues, power delivery issues, general driving position discomfort, etc. don’t worry, driving these is even more fun than bolting stuff on! If you add what it needs the ride will only get better.
Congrats and welcome!

Welcome to TJ ownership. Well, when you get it.

1. I don’t know of any Amazon lists.
2. A set of stock Rubicon 16” wheels are nice. They just look right on a TJ. Classic. Of course, less tire selection in 16’s, but a metric equivalent to a 31”-32” would work well with 2” of lift.

THIS PART

Hi all, thanks for the replies, soon as she arrives ( now possibly Thursday) i will post pics etc
She is a Japanese import ( to the uk registered here 2022 so only recently)so will be changing the dash to MPH for sure ( so i don’t get confused and end yo with a speeding ticket),
On the list once i see how she drives and before winter,
Re-waxoil
Inspection of hoses and brake lines etc
Radiator check
Any leaks as you guys mentioned
Ball joints and linkages checked etc

She has a hardtop and soft, so also looking for recommendations on looking after the softtop - cleaners etc as this is my first softtop anything,
The amazon list posted along with top 10 suggestions was coolc if anyone has a more UK based suggestion too 😎

Anyone around Huddersfield and Wakefield shout up
Thanks again, and looking fwd to posting some pics c and of course having some fun, I’ve wanted a Jeep for so so long

Cheers Charlie

With the rain (up north at least) you may as well ditch the soft and run with the hard top all the time :)
Is it RHD or LHD?

Good advice. Just saw your trans. Read on here about fluid in the 6 sp. Makes a big difference in shifting.

HI Guys, well she is here 9 with a little drama during the delivery loading ( they managed to break the rear glass on the hardtop _ yes I did suggest delivering it with the hardtop on rather than strapped to a trailer- so now hopfully they will figure out replacing the glass ).
first drip I noticed turns out to be from the rear wash-wipe tube ( which is obviously disconnected with the soft top on ), my drive is on a slope so was pissing out. is this usually plugged up ? I can zip tie it closed.
battery wasn't great so currently say on the trickle charger..

Sorry to hear about the Window, hopefully it works out with the shipper. the washer tube is probably siphoning form the tank due to the slope of the driveway. When i first got my jeep i Filled the tank 2 times before i figured out what was happening. I thought there was a factory plug located in the tub by the disconnect, maybe im wrong, someone with more knowledge will chime in soon. Thats a nice looking Jeep, GO enjoy it.

Looks very clean. Nice.

If/When you get the hard top repaired one thing I would purchase is one of the ceiling storage hoist racks. You can strap the top to it to lift it off and lower down to reinstall. If you have the garage space it is really worth it.
