Alive Day

20 years ago yesterday I'm out working on my grandfathers trailer getting it ready for a camping trip.

No weight bearing allowed for another 3 months so my crutches were always right there.

21 years ago yesterday.... Seems like it just happened somedays and then on other days it seems like I've been dealing with all the things related to this forever...

Don't really KNOW WTF has been happening this year but it's been harder than other years that I can remember.... I think it might be related to my dealing with my leg being messed up right now and the fact that I've been sitting now for almost 2 months... I'm going stir crazy not being able to wear my prosthetic and be up and about. Hoping this will be over soon so I can get back to being busy...

Happy (belated) alive day! Sorry this has been a rough year, but at least it's better than the alternative! Glad you're still kicking, and hope the leg will heal up. Hopefully your wound care appointment goes well and they can get it healing up.

I think that the sitting has a lot to do with it this year. Most times I've busy and can keep my mind on other things. I've been trying to distract myself with other activates but it hasn't been as effective as when I'm dealing with problem solving like when working on the Jeep.

I've got fingers crossed that the wound care clinic can offer some help on getting this issue with my leg figured out... It's been one of my worst fears since I had my amputation... So I've been trying to look at this as a learning experience for any future instances where I can't wear my socket.
