Replacing the interior lights of your Jeep Wrangler TJ with LEDs

Just thought I would throw in my results since I decided to go with “warm white” and no one else has a photo.

The color is pretty much spot on with stock, just much brighter. My only thing is that the HVAC symbols came out more a whiteish-blue than the original color that matched with everything else. Which is weird because the LEDs are the exact same color as the bulbs I pulled out.

What color is the hvac ones ? Cool , Natural , Warm White ?

Man, that was two jeeps and seven years ago 😆 I’ll see if I can find my original order.

I ended up sending them back an putting the stock bulbs in.

It’s all good I just came across the thread and it had all I needed . Just now doing it to my Jeep lol it’s about time . Let me know if you find your order . You can pm me on here or just put it here doesn’t matter

I just reviewed my previous order for my 05 and I believe these are the ones I put in. Recommend a double-check search but these were nice and bright in the pods!

Superbrightleds was my source. Replaced all of the interior with LEDs about 5 years ago. Had to make a couple of changes to light elements in the process, but very happy with the results and no desire to revert to previous technology.

For the footwell lights it says 3, 2 for footwell and 1 for shifter lights. Where is the shifter light in a 2005? Unless this is for a automatic and doesn’t apply to a manual 6speed?

BTW, I replaced the shift indicator light in my automatic today with this LED. It wasn't a perfect fit. The LED took a bit of pressure to get into the existing socket. I actually think I pressed pretty hard and twisted which wore off some plastic to make it fit. At one point, I pulled out the cable, the LED detached, and got stuck in the little cavity within that shift assembly. I had to cut a hole in the assembly to get the LED out. After that, I was very careful with making sure the LED didn't get stuck in there again.

Swapped the cluster, and interior courtesy lights on Friday. Ordered the wrong stuff for the switches and HVAC controls, so going to post an update once I receive those. But the cluster looks a thousand times better!

I ordered my stuff off amazon - will provide links once I finish the HVAC/Switches.

Is this normal that the HVAC controls are more blue than they are white? The bulbs I put in are white in fact.. I presume the film/transparent part of the hvac module is blueish causing this?

Thanks Chris! I can button it up now knowing it’s not bulbs, lol.

The dash looks absolutely amazing and transforms the vehicle.

Indeed, LEDs give much more consistent light than the old halogen bulbs. I recently replaced the interior lights of my 1973 Chevy K10 with LEDs as well. Looks really good!
