I thought long and hard about how to pack a 28" chainsaw for my flight to Huntsville.
In the end I just brought a Silky Katana folding saw.

At least you have firewood to keep warm!
Where did the tree fail? Doesn't look like a root ball topple...broke at the rotten crotches?

Yeah, damn Bradford Pear. Neighbors were packing up to head to hotel due to lack of electricity, said it sounded like an explosion and they opened garage to see what it was. Nashville TN.

Yep, that's why I never like big trees too close to the house! You definitely dodged a bullet with that one. Glad everyone is okay!
