LED headlights for LJ

I'm happy with the Holley Retrobrights, stock aesthetics, solid performance, and middle of the road at $400 a pair.
Step up price wise from those is the JW speakers with more of a futuristic look.
On the high end if you want relatively stock look, KC and Trucklite (not sure they are still available). Futuristic look BD LP6s.
There's probably amazon knock off of all of those, buyer beware whether they are actually any good or DOT compliant.

For sure. They're all more expensive than I'd like, but the Holley's seem to be the best value for a good brand.
I did forget that Sylvania has drop in replacements, they are about the same price as the Holley's and look kinda funky.

I had been running Hella halogen OE replacements for 15 years in my LJ. In 2022 I bought a JL which came with OE LEDs and realized then that the state of the headlight art has changed a bit so I found the above on amazon. For $120 these put out at least as much light as the OE ones on the JL (if not a bit better) and at the time the JW Speaker headlights were way more bucks than they are now. There may be better lights out there now (it's been 4 years) but for the money these are great.

Factory glass look with 360-degree LED bulbs. Not a fan of those clear glass housings.

I was under the impression that aftermarket LEDs were vorboten for headlights. Not that any of that shit is enforced.
Modern jeep headlights are like looking into a nuclear blast, gov regulations are seriously lacking.
It's all about them being properly aimed with a good low beam cut off line.
I used these lights + relays, cheap and decent light.

The LEDs in our JL have a pretty solid cutoff, as do the Holleys, normally the issue is an aftermarket bulb in a housing not designed for them, or simply failing to take 5 minutes to reaim head lights for loading, or suspension modifications.
I certainly feel you, between astigmatism and my eyes getting old, sometimes if feels like half the drivers are trying to burn out my retinas at night.

Even with sharp cutoff in mind, the world is not completely flat, and the slightest bump in the road fries all oncoming eyeballs.

Until the gov't decides to mandate auto levers in the states, have a feeling we're stuck without them.
I never stare into oncoming traffic's headlights myself. That's the first thing they teach you in Drivers Ed.

The Toyota mod plus some Auxito H4 to LED bulbs on Amazon are a great way to get really bright headlights for like $70.

I put these in about 4-5 years ago, still going strong (until they aren't) cheap LED Truck light knock-offs from Amazon.
