Not sure if I'll make it back east next spring but if not then for sure in 2027... Got to see how much these repairs will cost me.

We could do a day at Browns Camp & a day at Sand Lake? Late Sept or early Oct? Partly depends on when I'm getting the motorhome back...
At this point I would say early Oct....

On the saga of the refrigerator fire in the folk's 40' Diesel pusher...
They were supposed to go pick up their new (to them) 2021 Thor Four Winds today but after the sales team putting it in the shop for a final inspection there's an issue with the slide that will take until next week to get the parts in to repair....
SMH!!!

I really hate RV dealers!!!

I'm not gunna say I'm in love with them either....

My ONE frustration on this is my powered awning.... They'd installed it I think 3-4 years ago after they'd replaced the roof... And at that time had told me I didn't need the slide topper over the kitchen slide... Reason was cause I had the awning over it... Well to start with YES I did want the slide topper cause the awning can't be left out in bad weather.....
Then to top it off the awning was hitting the slide when it was extended all the way out... But after sitting for one winter the awning was now hitting the slide to the point where I had to retract the slide to be able to extend or retract the awning. IMO the should be able to adjust the angle on the awning... Especially since the awning obviously moved to make it hit the slide more. But they are telling me that it can't be adjusted.... And that awning wasn't cheap either and took like 6 months to finally arrive once it was ordered....

So I'm a little frustrated...

Mine being 16' long was close to $6K plus the installation. And I've had it out like 4 times... And never for more than maybe 2 hours at a time... And mine is lighted to add mood lighting at night... But have never enjoyed it...
At this point it was a waste of money...

Yep... I'm now a pussy and like my creature comforts.... Plus mine is powered so all I do is push a button....

I'm more pissed off that they claim it can't be adjusted.... If I have to I'll make some 1/2" or 1" spacers underneath to raise it up if I have to....

And now they're claiming somethings wrong with the steps too...

I was really tempted and wanted to snag the power awning off the 40' motorhome before the insurance company came and took it, but it would have been a HUGE undertaking to pull all the wiring and the wind guage, not to mention it would have been REALLY obvious that it was gone...

I still think the folks should have taken the payoff and bought it back. with the $35k+ they would have gotten back after buying it back they could have easily had all the damage from the fire and the other issues it had fixed and probably even had the whole thing shot with clear coat to fix the peeling... It was (still is really) a nice motorhome!!!

My awning doesn't have a wind gauge... The original awning did but when I bought the MH it'd been replaced with a manual awning. And to get a awning with a wind gauge was going to cost 3X's as much... And I guess now with the awning hitting the slide it doesn't really matter anyhow. Until I get it home and have a chance to mess with it I can't say what I can't or cannot do to try and adjust it.
