It's french. They closed in 1954, WWII wasn't kind to the company.
I recognized the name, but don't know much about them. VERY cool looking!
There is. The road feel is so good. The Masters have such good stable geometry too. I've carved down high passes getting up to 55mph on it with so much confidence, and then you can ride for miles without touching the handlebars.
I built it with Dura-Ace 9000. A bit heretical, but it's easier to maintain. Have put around 10,000 miles on that groupset. It moved over from another bike.
I also built one for my wife with a mix of Dura Ace 9000 and the Ultegra from that period. I found it on ebay. Hers is white with blue and purple and the nice Look carbon fork from the era. Impossible to find them with the 1" size.
Nice bikes, really nice. Let's face it, today Shimano's groups are the best though my heart is Campy. Two frames I always wanted were a Masi and DeRosa. Colnago was also desired. Oh well can't ride anymore so will someday sell off all my bikes.
That's an interesting sounding SBC, almost like my Jeep.I would be interested in reading the specs on that one if you know where to find more info than what that listing has.
Not much around that my searches could find. Hard to say if there's anything particularly special about the engine that's currently in it other than being "built" and probably race tuned. I would imagine it's something similar to what was installed after the Offy was pulled out in 1981.
Not enough detail to say much. I looked through the BaT listing photos closer to see if it covered anything on the engine rebuild, it did not. I did spot this...
We've been really fortunate to go to Indy a few times. Truly unique for a race at that level still to this day. A privateer team is able to show up, pass safety tech and try to qualify. And they still do, sometimes knocking off full season IndyCar team cars. A bit different with everyone being on the Dalara chassis and pretty tight specs on the engines.

I need a little fire skid on a trailer I can tow with my Jeep. I'd never get that to fit on some of my fire roads.

Body production number 810.
Trim code "150" was "Gray Striped Pile Fabric" for the interior.
Paint code "379" was "Battleship Gray Metallic" upper over a "Dove Gray Metallic" lower.

Awesome. What we call NEPA trash. Anything older than 50 years is now a cultural artifact and removal needs cataloging and approval from archeology. At least if it's on public lands.

Really? That seems a bit much. What's the reasoning behind it? That's a cool old truck. How often do yall come across "antique" vehicels?
Less vehicles and more things like old oil drums, pull top cans and bottles and jars with casting marks that are obviously old enough.
