So the previous owner of my jeep decided to install an ugly light bar and mount the full size jack to the hood. I want to take it off and I've been looking around for something to replace the holes he drilled in the hood. I stumbled across a youtube video installing hood lights https://dcslighting.com/shop?olsPage=.... First of all, these are designed for jks and second of all, they seem a little too pricey for me. What are some other options for the holes in my hood?
Thanks

There is nothing about those lights that made them specific to any vehicle. They are over priced. They shine half their light onto the hood and will create a huge glare. They are perfect for a JK.

I actually like the idea of those lights, but just not on the hood.

A good hardware store should have various sizes of rubber or plastic plugs.

I am thinking way outside the box here...... I want to mount a solar panel to my hood. I haven't look to deeply into this but I was hoping to find one about 4 or 5 inches wide and about 30 to 36 inches long. I think it would be great for overlanding but just to have solar power on the jeep anytime could be useful. currently I have a square 18 inch solar panel that I am playing with. Just a thought

That would be pretty awesome!

Paparock1 has the idea. And the trickle charger would fit nicely. RV guys have lots of variations on the theme.
I saw a semi with three full size solar panels mounted on his cab; one was in front of the windshield to block the sun, one flat on the roof and the third was at the back acting as his wind deflector. But not many rocks get that high.

Light Bars, Hood Lights.

Based on his experience, Shatto opines that they are a pain.
As jjvw said, they glare off the hood, thus reducing vision and my own experience was when a 'Light Bar' was a bar with a bunch of round Hella lights attached.
I was driving a Jeep with a large spotlight attached to each lower corner of the windshield and we got caught in heavy fog, at night. I prayed for them to be attached to the bumper but they stayed put and blinded me.
