Brown Dog MML issues

The cracked mount was the passenger side.

Also, looking at the stock mount on the passenger side the rubber is cracked but it looks twisted (could be the angle in the picture). Maybe it is a tweaked bracket?
Wonder if you somehow got a bogus MM .

Also quite possible

I would send the same pictures to Brown dog and see what they say

I installed mine a few weeks back. No trouble at all. I see that your thru bolt isn't showing a lot of left over thread. See mine for reference. There is at least 5-6 threads on the thru bolt when completely tighten down.

Looks like yours are on a 4.0. Different part numbers. Mine is on a 2.5

The BD mounting instructions don’t have torque specs if I recall correctly. The washer needs to be loose against the mount to avoid vibes. The nut should not come loose since it’s a lock fitting, or something like that. There’s a particular way to tighten it. Call Tim at BD

No torque specs were provided with the BD kit. Instructions were "nice and tight" on the bolts. I torqued mine down to FSM values. May be different for the 4 cylinders.

• Thru-Bolts = 48 ft. lb.
• Bracket Bolts = 40 ft. lb.
• Bracket Stud Nuts = 30 ft. lb.

I bought the M.O.R.E. Bombproof mounts and they clearly state in the instructions and sales promotions that they will cause additional vibrations in the 2.5. I guess they were right. The Brown Dog are almost the same mount as the M.O.R.E.'s only painted yellow instead of being plated. Hope you find a solution.

That is what my TJ had on it when I purchased it, and it was the first thing I took off and replace with the stock rubber mounts (as well as the transmission replacing the poly transmission mount). In my case there was no reason for those mounts. Although I do think that those mounts helped me negotiate 2 grand off the asking price since the jeep vibrated so bad most folks that test drove it probably thought there was something seriously wrong with it so it sat on their lot for 4 months.

I was expected some vibrations, not ones that would rattle my glove box and radio.

Debating on going back, I'll call brown dog first. Just wanted to get ride of my transfer case drop.

Update:
Just got off the phone with Tim at brown dog! He said the issue I was having was common with the 2.5, and instead of prying to get it lined up, or what I was mainly using a rachet strap to ac bracket to front bumper, instead to ratchet straps on rear driveline and connect to frame on under the passenger side. Tim said this will and in rotating to motor to the mount insead of pulling it into position.

Also, he said with the 2.5 mounts the tightening of the through bolts isn't much of an issue since the bushings are different. The 2.5 bushings use a through pin design instead of washers.

Going to give this a shot!!!

It's a thought, just would be out some $$
I bet Tim at BD would honor the return if you can't get rid of the excessive vibes. I agree with whoever said Phone Call. Email is one thing but he's going to want all kinds of information. He did when I called him. Year, engine, details of vibes, etc...

EDIT: Looks like you've already got some direction, Disregard!
