Getting closer to being able to remove the head, but I can't figure this connection out 🤔

You need a fuel line disconnect tool. There are many to choose from. I’ve attached a link to one. You can search from there. Should be able to get one or a set at your local auto parts store.

The metal ones are better than plastic. Just make sure the two halves line up together.

The first one I bought was so far off I couldn't close it on anything. At first I thought it wasn't the right size then I saw that the half circles were about 1/16" off.

If you're careful, you can make one out of 1/2" rigid copper pipe. Slit it longwise, place it around the tube and slide.

Edit: should I say, 12mm copper?

Yeo...first reply pointed me to the tool on Amazon...am going to go buy one straight after work tomorrow 👍

Helpful tip here. With all the debris buildup on your fuel rail, clean the fitting with brake clean and compressed air where you insert the tool. Sometimes the debris buildup makes it difficult to insert the tool to expand the spring.

You can cut up a plastic milk jug/etc to work too.

Little more fiddly, but it gets the job done when you don't want to work

Right tool for the job works wonders...thanks fellas! Both manifolds out, as well as the water pump...slowly getting to the point I can actually pull the head...
