Here’s a Commando spotted in Port Clyde, ME five years ago. If I’m not mistaken, Danny Thomas was AMCs spokesman for the Commando.
1965 Mustang coupe, 289, 4 speed, black on black, 5 spoke Cragers. Bought it in 1979.
I'll start. It was 1977 and it was a 1969 Firebird Formula. Fond memories.
In high school, it was all about fast cars and girls. Nothing else mattered.
I had a 64.
That was my best friends first car, also in 1985, complete with leaking T-top and a lot of rust...1977 Olds Cutlass Supreme, bought it from my aunt in 1985 for $1500
That's pretty as hell, but I'm damn glad that wasn't my first car. I probably wouldn't have survived to graduate high school if it was, haha.1965 Ford Mustang, 289 v8. Got her in 1989 and poured ever penny I made into her. After graduating High School my Uncle drove her back to PA to pull and rebuild the transmission. Long story short worked a double at the steel mill, hit his favorite watering hole after work and wrapped her around a telephone pole. Alls I have left is the grill pony hanging in the garage with all my Jeep stuff. View attachment 123746
Yea Mom must have hella trusted me to allow me that as a first car. Funny thing is, never got a ticket in it, or any accidents. But i sure has hell got into the gas pedal to hear that v8 sing! That's pretty as hell, but I'm damn glad that wasn't my first car. I probably wouldn't have survived to graduate high school if it was, haha.
A black 1960 V8 Studebaker Lark VIII. Nice old ride, wish it had been a 2 door or ragtop.
