What did you do to your TJ today?

My UCF extra clearance aluminum skid plate finally arrived after ordering it on Cyber Monday. Some before and after pics. So much lighter than the heavy steel shovel too.

Talk about neat and clean!! What was the weight difference between the two? This looks like a great alternative. How tall is the lift on the vehicle currently if any?

Thanks man. The aluminum skid was tagged at 24 lbs on the shipping label. If I had to guess, the stock skid feels like double that. Close to 50 if not 50 lbs.
I’m on 2” bds springs with a 3/4” spacer up front. 1.25” savvy body lift.

Today I checked the tranny fluid. I noticed my leak is getting a bit bigger. The level was fine but tomorrow we are going to take it to the car wash to degrease the motor. Little nervous doing that, but hubby will be driving his tow truck over there to help me degrease it, so if it breaks down for some reason, we can tow it home. LOL

When I changed my oil yesterday I noticed it leaking on the control arm (I think that is what this is in the pic).

I can also see it on the firewall. That is where I think it is running down and dropping on the arm.

Here is where it is coming from. I tried tightening the clamp shortly after I got the Jeep last Jan., it worked for a while but I think it is time to replace the hose. (The clamp is just out of view in this pic.)

I have to do that in January.
So I get to the point that I can talk to someone. My 02 is due for emissions this year. And the DMV is doing away with emissions in 3 days. For good. Guess I'll wait till next week to renew mine.
The 15 bucks isn't a big deal. But the Jeep doesn't have a catalytic converter on it so I don't have any idea if it would even pass.

As long as it's not throwing a code it should go through. But you're right to wait. No emissions station open after 22/31. I had to get tags for my Dakota mid month so I went ahead and spent the 15 for a test.

I replaced the speakers with Polk speakers, put in some floor mats that fit, added a velcro handle for my wife to get in, and put on a front bumper. I was looking at different styles and my wife just bought one for Christmas.

I need to figure out the lights, I'm storing those on there for now. They aren't connected since the wires don't reach. The hardest part was trimming up the plastic piece in back.

I got these as a present too. I need to collect some misc parts and new shocks before getting to this project.

Dry fit Genright tank for marking drill locations...then removed tank and decided to continue with removing the shocks and springs. Cycled the suspension and found im a little off. Figure while I have everything out and waiting on new springs, I'll clean things up a bit. Then bought a Dana 60 so waiting on that too.
