Decided to come back to a TJ from a JK

Seems like if your JK is bought and paid for, assuming you are selling it, you'd have enough money left over after purchasing the TJ to put the correct bold pattern wheels and new KO's on it? And still have money in your pocket for a Jersey Mike's sub!

What size are adapters? 1.5”? D
been run-in em a long time,,,no problems did lactate em on...love emView attachment 142805

It's an option, and maybe find some take offs. Lots of guys sell their Rubi tires right away. But I do like the look of my wheels I have more than most aftermarkets and kinda feel like saving that extra cash.

I like the Moabs too, but want 17"s. Are those Moabs in demand anymore for selling? If I don't sell, I don't see adapters for the opposite, to put the TJs wheels on the JK. I seen one guy do it, so it can be done.

I'm thinking of selling my tj and moving to a jku. I'm only able to go off roading once or twice a month and it's my daily driver so having all that extra room and being quieter/ more comfortable sounds great. But I do love working on the TJ and I think the jk looks boring compared to it. Hard decision.

I had to scratch that itch. It is a hard decision. Easy to get comfy with a JK or now a JL. But after the TJ was gone, I missed it and realized how much the JK felt like a car. Dare I call a Jeep a car!! lol.

I see a million JKs everywhere, day or night and any trip we go on, and that's the main reason it's a chubber buster. They need to really modded up to turn my head. .And Jeep did produce over 2 million JKs, while TJ production was under a million.

TJ's just look sexy.

I really like the way JLs look, reminds me of the TJ. Sadly they are out of my budget. I frequently go on trips with 3 people who don't have rigs so with all the gear we end up being stuffed in the TJ and lapping alot of stuff even with a roof rack. Also I would hate to take a road trip in my soft top tj, I would go deaf lol

I own a few sets of quality ear plugs for such road trips.

When JLs came out, I considered one. But didn’t like the looks and that I figured they’d have bugs to work out. And that sure was right! I didn’t care for how flimsy everything felt and seemed even more plastic then on a JK. When I opened the door, the handle felt like it could break easily.

But really not into the JL ook at least from certain angles.. I do notice with the top down/off, the JK feels a lot less open and fun than my TJs, and the JL is even worse. I've seen some JLs done up nice. Even a stock, base TJ can look funny after seeing so many builds.

This top...@#$$^$wtf!?

Why does this top look crooked?

There's a YT video of a body shop, showing how easy the doors can dent from the thin aluminum. When the factory installs the hinges, it bends them and they show it from a certain angle and you can see the light reflect that. I'd not want a JL they felt really cheap to me and why I passed on one.

Because it’s a shitty picture/taken with a shitty camera. Example being the dealer tag, Its pixelated and doesn't seem to be taken from far away at all.

Right, what does that have to do with the poor quality photo that the OP posted and claimed the top looked as it was crooked?

I had looked at JKs prior to getting my TJR. I had significantly LESS shoulder room in the JK. The doors are thicker and angle inward. So does the roll bar. I would bang my shoulder into the bar every time I hit a pothole or turned. Shortest test drive ever. Didn't even make it out of the lot. TJ gave me a better (for me) seat, better visibility, more shoulder room, and not having to drive a JK.👍
